February Journaling
1. My first grandchild, Benny is 8 years
old today. He is the sweetest boy.
2. Bible study finishing Zephaniah and
doing the summary.
3. Going for dinner at a friend’s house
to help plan an event for church. Writing.
4. The grandkids went to the Toronto
Aquarium.
5. My mom showed me the newspaper
article about my dad’s death. I didn’t realize there was an actual inquest but
of course, it was a workplace accident. When I told my daughter who is a
lawyer, she said she would put in a request through freedom of information act
to get the actual court transcripts and final coroner’s report. We cried
together on the phone. It’s good to know but sad to read about how he suffered
both immediately and the next month in hospital before he died of complications
at the age of 28.
6. Our middle grandchild has ADHD and
has started medication. I hope it will help her. She even recognizes it’s a
problem and when her mom said the doctor would give her a medication to help
her focus she said it sounded magical.
7. Our grandson is getting tutoring for
math and it’s helping.
8. Our granddaughter turned 6 today.
9. Bible study beginning the book of
Habakkuk. Will take next week off for Family Day holiday.
10. The grandkids and their parents are
coming for the weekend. We are getting Robin’s choice for dinner. The kids want
McDonalds. The adults will order real food.
11. Finnish pancakes (crepes) for
breakfast, then taking the grandkids to the Toronto Zoo as their gift. Then
this evening our daughter and her husband are going to see the Harry Potter
musical as her Christmas gift.
12. They came to church with us.
13. Writing, then our computer died.
14. Our class was cancelled this week,
but our friends came over to make some bookings for our trip. Flights are
booked; big load off my mind.
15. In Hamilton helping out.
16. Our new computer arrived today.
17. Setting up for our AGAPE GALA dinner
at church. I’m doing the seating plan.
18. AGAPE GALA was great. There were 74
people.
19. Church. No evening service tonight.
20. Family Day.
21. Our Genesis course this evening. So
good!
22. Prayer meeting. I never thought of
baptism as a naming ceremony. Keep on learning.
23. Finished the Minor Prophets with
Habakkuk. Now to start on Galatians and Ephesians.
24. I’m loving the study on Galatians; I
have so many good resources. The ladies tell me they appreciate the work I put
into it, so I keep going.
25. Recording my podcasts on my new
computer. They transfer over to the podcast platform much better than
previously.
26. Church.
27. Helping out in Hamilton, but had to
stay overnight because of a storm. We anticipated it and had our overnight
things. Had to reschedule the housekeeper from tomorrow to the following week.
28. Genesis course. So full. Three hours
long. Finished Dry Feb. It was easy. I like to show myself that I can live
without alcohol, even though I never have more than a glass of wine and have
never been drunk, there are many alcoholics in our family and so I want to be
careful.
