September Journaling
1. So many book ideas. I just received a
copy of my Match and Search, the first book published under my pen name, clever
kids.
2. The grandkids are coming to stay over
for three nights before school starts.
3. Rainy day. No swimming today. I took
the kids to an indoor play place.
4. Lovely day. Swimming at our friends’
place. There are interviews today at church for a new family ministry director.
5. Going to the zoo today. I start back
to teaching Sunday School tomorrow.
6. Church. Then we took our pastor and
his wife out for lunch.
7. Labour Day. We had some more of the
chinook salmon my husband caught, and baked potatoes.
8. Writing and prepping to sell books
and toys next weekend at the women’s retreat. Breakfast for dinner. The
grandkids are starting at public school today. I have my concerns.
9. Massage today.
10. Took my mom to the dentist for a
filling. Beef and broccoli with rice for dinner.
11. It’s the 25th anniversary
of 9/11. I was sleeping after my night shift so I only found out after I woke
up. Getting my stuff together for the women’s retreat this weekend. Young
adults’ tonight. I made a salad and cupcakes and bought samosas.
12. First day of the retreat. It’s about
Faith. So good. Two of the men came to cook for us.
13. I sold $300 in books and toys for
Uganda.
14. Cleaning up and going to a farm
market.
15. Pain Clinic for back nerve block
injections. The housekeeper is here.
16. I suddenly am experiencing a sudden
burning nerve pain in my left heel. It stops me in my tracks and brings tears
to my eyes. What is happening?
17. The pain is worse. It likely happened at the pain clinic when my doctor gave me a nerve block injection to my lower back. It started a few hours later.
18. Dental appointment changed. My ankle
pain is worse, 25 times on Thursday.
19. 90 times on Friday. I saw the doctor
and she ordered an ultrasound and xray, which I had done, but I know it’s nerve
pain.
20. Over 200 times today; it feels like
being stabbed by a hot knife in the same spot. It takes my breath away, I try
to breathe through it like labour, but the next one starts as soon as the other
finishes. It brings tears to my eyes, and I never cry. Thankfully I found some
stronger pain meds at home from before, which gave me some relief.
21. Made it to church to teach. Xray and
ultrasound normal, as expected.
22. In agony.
23. Hoping to see someone at the pain
clinic. Had trigger point injection, but no relief.
24. Saw a chiropractor. Phone call with
my doctor. No change in pain.
25. Botox. Stopped at the drug store.
Severe pain for an hour after. I was in tears. Trying to distract myself my
crocheting pumpkins.
26. Spoke with my doctor and finally got
an order for strong pain killers.
27. Church.
28.Dental appointment.
29. My aunt is coming from Finland for
three weeks. My mom is excited.
30. Prayer meeting.
